Sev Eminov

Sev is a Psychologist and a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician who prides herself in assisting her client’s in realising their intrinsic potential. Sev is passionate about enhancing the quality of life and self-efficacy of her clients. Utilising evidence-based approaches in a flexible and client-centred manner, Sev strives to adapt her therapeutic skillset dynamically, ensuring each client receives tailored treatment addressing their unique personality and specific goals for self-improvement. Sev has experience seeing clients of various walks of life, with diverse socio-economic, religious and cultural backgrounds, with a focus on adult mental health. As a therapist Sev is open-minded, genuine, and enjoys bringing idiosyncrasy, humour and compassion into her sessions.

 

Sev is particularly passionate about supporting clients with interpersonal challenges, including communication difficulties, as well as navigating the impacts of attachment dynamics, and areas such as effective self-expression, self-advocation, boundary setting and managing ruptures and issues in the realm of connection and intimacy. Taking a holistic approach, Sev incorporates components of physical health, nutrition, and sleep, as well as the impact of chronic pain, and/or auto-immune or other health conditions, as she supports her clients in their mental and emotional wellbeing. Sev also supports her clients in addressing difficulties with low self-esteem, negative body image, as well helping them in navigating their specific struggles with personal, relationship, academic/career goal attainment. Sev has extensive experience working with complex presentations and is driven in understanding and navigating intersectionality – including the intersectionality of eating disorders, neurodiversity and trauma. She is dedicated and invested in working in adult ADHD and Autism and is passionate about assisting client’s in managing these symptoms as adults and learning to flourish in their neurodiversity and move towards increased self-efficacy and self-belief.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology and Cultural Studies, University of Sydney

  • Graduate Diploma in Psychology, University of Western Sydney

  • Eating Disorder Credentialed through Australia & New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED)
